a. Nimco Made4You is a family business founded in 1904 and located in Berg en Dal, Nijmegen, The Netherlands. We develop and produce individual orthopaedic shoes for people who are not able to obtain suitable shoes in a regular way as result of illness or an accident.
a. The shoes are produced in our own factory in Portugal. In this factory 200 people are every day involved in the production process.
a. A large part of the production process is done by hand. The process is characterized by a combination of innovative techniques and old craftsmanship.

a. To guarantee the quality of our shoes we have a quality management system which is certified: ISO 9001:2015. We also have an 'environmental management system': ISO 14001:2015.

d. In addition, we use the LEAN management system as the basis for our procedures and activities.
a. Only semi-orthopaedic shoes for adults can be returned within 60 days. Returns must be registered with us, thereafter we arrange a DPD pick up. We charge a fee for the returns. Returns for MCO and ORT are not possible. See this link for more information.
a. In the context of the environmental, a large part of the factory runs on solar panels. In addition, we pay attention to the use of biodegradable materials. For example, our shoe boxes are made of paint-free eco-materials, our tape is made of biodegradable paper and our shoehorns are made of bamboo. We strive to create a plastic-free work environment.
b. We use a LEAN management system. Our focus is to optimize all our processes in such a way that the losses are minimal.
c. We have made various agreements for our employees with medical and paramedical institutions whereby they receive a discount on the costs. Also, a morning exercise program encourages physical activity to warm up the muscles in order to prevent injuries. All this is in accordance with ISO45001.

b. Made-to-stock (Semi-orthopaedic shoes for adults) – these shoes are produced in bulks. The shoes have interior space for an individual insole and are intended for less complex foot complaints.
c. Engineered-to-order (Modular Concept Orthopaedics - MCO) – these are individually manufactured orthopaedic shoes. With MCO we use our own extensive library of lasts which can then be adjusted with last adjustments (modules) and shoe adjustments.
d. Made-to-order (Orthopaedic shoes - ORT) – these are also individually manufactured orthopaedic shoes. These shoes are produced over an individually manufactured last customized to the needs of the client in question. This solution is intended for the most complex forms of foot complaints.
a. MCO for men are available in sizes 5 to 17. MCO for women are available in sizes 2 to 12. The shoes are available in half sizes.
b. The stock shoes for men are available in sizes 6 to 12. Stock shoes for women are available in sizes 3 to 9. The shoes are available in half sizes.
a. Made-to-stock (Semi-orthopaedic shoes for adults)
i. On the day the order is placed: 2 to 3 business days.
b. Engineered to order (MCO)
i. On the day the order is placed: 15 to 17 business days.
c. Made to order (ORT)
i. On the day the lasts and supplements arrive in the factory: 18 to 20 business days.

a. MCO uses our own extensive library of lasts. On these lasts additional last modules can be applied. In addition, shaft stiffeners and outsole adjustments can be applied. Within ORT, the shoes are produced on base of the individual lasts that have been produced specifically for a client. MCO can be used for many cases for which ORT is used. However, ORT has to be used for the most complex cases.
a. Infinity is a collection that is offered within both ORT and MCO. The Infinity line are select models that have limited customized options regarding cosmetics. However, for functional adjustments there are no limitations. This makes the Infinity collection the most interesting from a financial point of view.
